POTTERY POTTERY POTTERY!!

ATTENTION POTTERY LOVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just recently, the Catawba Indian Tribe, out of York County in Upper South Carolina was granted $1,000,000 from the United States Government to start their pottery company: Catawba Pottery Works. Along with the grant came 50-acres of land, which was awarded in an out-of-court settlement from an old lawsuit.
"We are so excited to finally be able to open the pottery business that has been a mere dream for years. Every single one of us have been hard at work to get the ball rolling and its all finally coming together! Not only will this company help with needed financial support, but we hope to teach the community about our heritage as well as learn about others through interaction. We are just ecstatic!,” said Dyami “Squealing Frog” Hargo, mother of 6.

Construction will start as soon as the licenses and other plans have been completed. Most hope to see CPW up and running by 14 months.

Jim Redwing, an attorney for Native American rights has been appointed CEO of the company and is excited about his new job. Redwing, a University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as well as Harvard graduate, has spent hundreds of hours fighting for Native Americans as an attorney and, during the Reagan administration, served as the U.S. Commissioner for Indian Affairs. With his impressive resume and knowledge on business administration, most have faith he will do great. In fact, the Catawba Indian’s are aiming in three years for an eventual $10,000,000 annual sales in three years. To reach this, the company’s leadership team must stay focused. Likewise, three years will be spent building the company through things like advertisements and fundraisers.

Besides financial gain, there are several other positive things that this company will do. As of now, the Catawba Indian’s and the citizens of York County do not have great relations. Bad feelings have arisen between the two for various reasons. It is time to end that! By including the county in every aspect of this company, the Catawbas hope to gain a voice in the community they live. Being involved in local government, special events, or whatever else would be ideal for the Catawbas. Another important aspect to the company deals with diversity. By sharing their pottery, the Catawba Indians spread their heritage and culture. This educates those who don’t know the Catawba Indians on their diverse backgrounds.

Launching this company is not going to be easy and the Catawbas understand that. Making money takes time and will be hard work. If done right, this company could be huge; it just takes help from everyone! So get excited and be on the lookout in the next few years for the grand opening of the Catawba Pottery Works company! Don’t forget, everyone loves pottery!!!!!!!!!

Choranges: The Fruit of the Millennium!

So, you take a cherry and mix it with an orange. What do you get? An amazing new breed of fruits called the: CHORANGE!

Brought to you by Farmer Bill who lives in Lincoln, Nebraska, there are several things you need to know about the flight of the Chorange.

FIRST off, Farmer Bill was born January 23rd, 1945 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He grew up as a farmer’s son and spent almost all of his time working with his dad harvesting crops. Naturally, Farmer Bill took over his father’s farm after he got his degree in agriculture from the University of Nebraska where he met his wife Gail. At the University of Nebraska, Bill learned lots of interesting agricultural and farming techniques. His favorite was the innovative cross breading of fruits, vegetables and other crops. Bill has taken what he has learned back to the farmland where he has become the first man ever to cross-breed an orange and a cherry.

So, why cross-breed a Cherry and an Orange?
When asked why Farmer Bill chose cherries and oranges to cross breed, Farmer Bill's response was easy: "They are my favorite fruits, combining them could produce my favorite fruit ever." A seemingly easy task, all Farmer Bill really had to do was mash both fruits seeds together. This "mashing," sometimes referred as "muddling" inter-twinned the seeds so that when they were planted, they became infused into each other. In fact, Farmer Bill commented: "it did not take long to see results. A few months after I planted the infused fruit seeds, I began to see small growing trees." These "small" trees would soon become 20 feet in height and 50 or so in population. "As soon as the trees started popping up all over the place, I began to worry that I wouldn't be able to control their growth." This turned out to be false; Farmer Bill has found that it is very easy to control Chorange trees by monitoring their sunlight, water and wind intake. Regardless, not four months from their planting, Farmer Bill began to see fruit growing on the branches. "At first the color was a pinkish-yellow. With sunlight the choranges developed their famous deep orange, light red pigment." Now, Farmer Bill has a seemingly never ending supply of choranges growing year-round. Since choranges can grow in any conditions, this has made them very popular in the farming community. At the same time, people are curious about this fruit and have been buying choranges to try them. The response has been huge, and Farmer Bill has seen that in his home town of Lincoln, his choranges are sold out in every grocery store. Several of the surrounding farmers have begun to grow chorange trees but not fast enough.

The best part about the Choranges....
For almost a year now, Farmer Bill has been feeding his family the Chorange fruit. Now, Farmer Bill has two young children one in 3rd grade and one in 5th grade. Not only is the fruit a delicious, healthy snack, but Farmer Bill has also seen that the chorange has helped his children retain memory better. After a further study of the chorage at the University of Nebraska, it was found that there are naturally occurring additives in the chorange that help children build memory as well as build other positive brain actions. Mothers across the United States have eaten this up, and have begun to demand that more choranges be shipped to their local grocers. Once again, the problem is that there aren't enough people producing the tree and its fruit.

Frequently Asked Questions:
1) Are any unsafe, non-natural chemicals being added to the chorange? The answer is 100% no. The chorange is a naturally occurring fruit that is healthy and helps children retain memory.
2) When will more chorange fruit be grown? Farmer Bill has recently spoken with the FDA and they have approved the chorange for mass shipping and selling. Farmer Bill will get a cut of the profits from the chorange but is working his hardest to produce more and to have other farmers produce more.
3) What does "help children retain memory" really mean? Because of the naturally occurring additives that choranges produce, one chorange a day helps children remember things once difficult to retain. This makes learning to read, write and speak easier on parents and teachers.
4) At what price will choranges be sold? Farmer Bill remains a fair farmer and vows not to make choranges extremely expensive. Until he is able to mass produce choranges, because of the shortage, choranges will be somewhat expensive. Once they are as widespread as an apple or orange, the chorange will be fairly priced.

Farmer Bill is very excited about his discovery of the chorange. With its delicious taste and ability to retain children's memory, the chorange will soon become the fruit of the millennium. Until then, Farmer Bill asks that everyone remains patient because these processes can take some time. Soon enough all will see choranges in the produce section of their local grocery stores.

Se llama Time Out Buenos Aires.
